Global Soya Beans Exports by Country & Company in 2025 - Tendata

Global exports of soya beans (also known as soybeans or soyabeans) were valued at US$74.5 billion in 2025.

Compared with 2021, when worldwide soybean exports reached US$78.2 billion, the total export value declined by 4.6% over the five-year period. On a year-over-year basis, global soybean exports also contracted by 6.4%, decreasing from US$79.6 billion in 2024.

Brazil remained the world's dominant soybean exporter in 2025, followed by the United States, Argentina, Canada, and Paraguay. Together, these five countries generated 93.7% of the total global export value, highlighting the highly concentrated nature of the international soybean trade.

From a regional standpoint, Latin America continued to lead global soybean exports, accounting for 70.2% of worldwide shipments with exports worth US$52.3 billion. This figure excludes Mexico but includes Caribbean nations. North America ranked second, contributing 25.7% of total global exports.

Europe represented 3.6% of global soybean exports, while Asia accounted for 0.3%, Africa 0.2%, and Oceania just 0.004%, with Australia serving as the region's primary exporter.

For customs classification, soybeans are identified under the 4-digit Harmonized System (HS) code 1201.

The following countries recorded the highest export values for soybeans in 2025.

1. Brazil: US$43.5 billion (58.4% of global exports)

2. United States: US$16.5 billion (22.1%)

3. Argentina: US$4.8 billion (6.4%)

4. Canada: US$2.7 billion (3.6%)

5. Paraguay: US$2.4 billion (3.2%)

6. Uruguay: US$1.6 billion (2.1%)

7. Ukraine: US$1.5 billion (2.0%)

8. Russia: US$319 million (0.4%)

9. Netherlands: US$169.9 million (0.2%)

10. South Africa: US$115 million (0.2%)

11. Türkiye: US$96.4 million (0.1%)

12. Belgium: US$93.7 million (0.1%)

Collectively, these fifteen countries were responsible for 99.2% of the world's soybean exports in 2025.

Among the leading exporters, Türkiye recorded the strongest year-over-year growth, with soybean exports surging 172.6%. It was followed by Argentina, which expanded exports by 166%, South Africa with 62.1% growth, and Uruguay, which posted an increase of 31.3%.

Meanwhile, several major exporters experienced declining export values. Romania registered the sharpest decrease at 36.4%, followed by the United States (-33.0%), Croatia (-30.9%), the Netherlands (-27.1%), and Paraguay (-25.7%).
