In 2024, international purchases of beer reached a total value of US $18.5 billion.This represents a 17.4% increase compared with 2020, when worldwide beer imports were valued at $15.7 billion. On a year-to-year basis, global spending on imported beer grew 3%, up from $17.9 billion in 2023.

In 2023, global beer imports reached a total value of $18.2 billion. This marked a 9.4% increase from five years earlier, in 2019, when international beer purchases were valued at $16.6 billion.
