Compared with US$572.3 million in 2020, this figure represents a 34.8% average growth over the past five years. However, on a year-to-year basis, global spinach exports declined by 8.8%, falling from US$845.5 million in 2023.

A nutrient-dense leafy green, fresh or chilled spinach saw worldwide exports reach a total of $845.9 million in 2023. Over a five-year period, the total export value for spinach increased by 112%, growing from $399 million in 2019. However, on a year-over-year basis, global spinach exports in 2023 declined by 7.7% compared to $916.7 million in 2022.
