Global bicycle exports reached a total value of US$9 billion in 2025, reflecting the continued importance of bicycles in international trade.

Compared with US$12.65 billion in 2021, the worldwide value of exported bicycles declined by 28.8% over the five-year period. However, export performance showed a slight recovery from 2024 to 2025, with global bicycle export revenues increasing 1.7% from US$8.86 billion.

The leading bicycle exporting countries in 2025 were Mainland China, Germany, Taiwan, the Netherlands, and Portugal. Together, these five major suppliers accounted for 61.7% of global bicycle exports, highlighting the relatively concentrated nature of the international bicycle supply chain.

From a regional perspective, Asia was the largest source of exported bicycles in 2025, with shipments valued at US$4.55 billion, representing 50.6% of worldwide exports. Europe ranked second, contributing 47.3% of global bicycle export value.

Other regions accounted for much smaller shares, including North America (1.2%), Africa (0.5%), Latin America (0.34%) excluding Mexico but including the Caribbean, and Oceania (0.1%), mainly supplied by Australia and New Zealand.

For international trade classification, bicycles and other non-motorized cycles, including delivery tricycles, are categorized under HS Code 8712.

These 15 countries collectively supplied 87.7% of all bicycles exported worldwide in 2025, confirming that global bicycle manufacturing remains concentrated among a limited number of major production hubs.

Among the top exporters, several countries achieved significant growth compared with 2024. Bangladesh recorded the fastest increase, with bicycle exports rising 54.4% year over year. It was followed by Vietnam (+42.5%), Cambodia (+33.8%), and Romania (+30.4%), indicating expanding production capacity in emerging manufacturing markets.

Meanwhile, some major exporters experienced declines. Taiwan saw the largest decrease among leading exporters, with export value dropping 27.4% compared with 2024. Other countries reporting declines included Poland (-17.6%), Mainland China (-2%), and the Netherlands (-0.6%).
